We cannot allow what happened to Janet to happen to any Black woman ever again. We must be each other’s champions and each other’s first line of defense.
While we celebrate black history month, we must continue shouting from the rooftops and taking up space in places where we aren’t or weren’t historically welcome and elevate the voices, stories, and struggles of all black womyn.
It should be clear now that Black actors and actresses can carry a television program when they are given the opportunity and support.
