Guidelines.

We publish articles between 500-900 words and never more than 1,200 words. Submit 1-3 pitches or completed pieces to us with your name, head shot, and a short biography of yourself. We currently only accept submissions through email. 

Our Values.

Words are power. We are committed to the liberation of black womyn, and we are founded on the principle of inclusivity. We aim to provide black womyn with a platform for our voices to be heard. We do not tolerate racism, homophobia, sexism, xenophobia, ableism, or misogyny in any form. We value intersectionality and encourage you to write personal essays and pieces that reflect your identity. We are a platform for every member of the BIPOC femme community.

Our Voice.

Articles are an extension of your personal platform as a subject-matter expert, and reflect your ability to connect with audiences in a meaningful way. To that end, the tone of your article should be conversational and authentic. Use clear, illustrative language that conveys the impact, benefit and implications of what you are writing about. Every article should include a clear takeaway, lesson learned or call to action.

We are not currently able to compensate contributors.
